Hi. We’re three friends, originally from Fitchburg, Massachusetts and now mostly from elsewhere, who want to test our limits, have a great adventure, and raise a lot of money for a cause that’s close to our hearts. Ashley and Adam have marathon experience and Fiore holds a few mid-distance records at our high school, but none of us has previously made a habit of running 105-mile weeks, which we’ll try to average approximately on the run. We look forward to seeing the natural and man-made wonders of our country, and to meeting as many great and different people as we can.
Cancer is a disease that strikes almost every family in one way or another. Adam’s mother died of breast cancer in 1994, and her brother passed away of kidney cancer in 2009. Both loved traveling and the outdoors, and we run in their honor and in honor and support of all those who have won, lost, or are still fighting this terrible disease. We believe strongly in science and in the strong possibility that great breakthroughs are imminent in the search for cures and treatments. Please help to accelerate this progress by donating to the American Cancer Society through the link on this page.
